Train by vevew Train by vevew
1.5 hours. Referenced from "Beyond the Clouds".

One last train scene but with a completely different mood than the previous scene. For those who are interested with how I work, this painting comes with a walk through.

You are waiting for a train, a train that will take you far away. You know where you hope this train will take you, but you don't know for sure...

The Place Promised in our Early Days looks like such a beautiful film. I have yet to see it, but the previews amaze me. Their animation and scenery is just stunning. This happens to be one of my favorite scenes when she walks down the train tracks. It's a very captivating scene, and I think you've painted it very well. Great work!

hahaah this is such a coincidence Vee!!
I saw this panel yesterday when I was watching some music video for ESPosthumus's song 'Nara'. When I saw it I was thinking "this is really a scenery Vee could speedpaint" and what do you know? Here is is already!!

However, I think I would have liked it better if you kept the more blueish overal color on this panel. Also the trees look out-of-proportion messy compared to it's surroundings, which I blame on the shade you tried to give it. As a whole it's not a bad speedpaint but investing a little bit more time would have made it better imo.

Hahah, oh the coincidences of life.

If I knew you liked it better that way, I wouldn't have wasted my time trying to find the best of way to desaturated it and what level of saturation would be best!
Oh, the tree is funky. I hate the trees. I wish they put a shed of power supply there or something. I might go back and readjust it before I make prints of it. It does bug me a bit.
